1. General Overview

Stodfin Co Limited, trading as Stod Finance, is committed to providing secure, transparent, and efficient financial services, including small business loans, education loans, boda boda loans, and quick loans. This policy ensures compliance with regulatory standards, financial security, and ethical business operations.


2. Security and IT Policies


2.1. Device and Access Security


  • All company systems must use passkeys (PIN, fingerprint, or face recognition).
  • Passwords must be avoided unless mandated by external platforms.
  • Devices used to access company data must be encrypted and require multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Only approved and registered devices can access Stodfin’s systems.

2.2. Data Protection & Compliance


  • All customer and company data must be encrypted in storage and transit.
  • Stodfin complies with ISO security standards for data protection and due diligence.
  • Customer financial and personal data must not be shared with unauthorized parties.
  • Employees handling sensitive data must undergo background checks and regular security training.

3. Financial Policies


3.1. Loan Issuance & Repayment


  • Loans are issued based on creditworthiness assessment using company data analytics.
  • Loan amounts start at 150,000 UGX, payable in 4 weeks with a 2.8% interest rate.
  • Processing fees are 10,000 UGX per 100,000 UGX loaned.
  • Repayment can be made via mobile money, debit card, Stripe, crypto, and other approved channels.

3.2. Late Payment & Default Policy

  • Late payments incur penalty charges as per Stodfin’s loan agreements.
  • Defaulters are reported to credit bureaus and may face legal action.
  • Debt recovery measures include negotiation, external debt collection agencies, and legal proceedings if necessary.

3.3. Anti-Fraud & Money Laundering Measures

  • All transactions undergo fraud detection analysis before processing.
  • Customer verification is mandatory through National ID, Passport, or Refugee ID.
  • Stodfin follows AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations and reports suspicious activities to authorities.

4. Customer Service & Complaint Resolution

  • Customers can raise complaints via the official Stodfin app, website, or support lines.
  • Complaints must be acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 5 business days unless requiring external escalation.
  • Stodfin follows ethical lending practices, ensuring transparency in interest rates and fees.

5. Employee Conduct & Ethics

  • Employees must uphold professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling customer data.
  • Accepting bribes, unauthorized loans, or engaging in fraudulent activities will result in immediate termination and legal action.
  • Employees must adhere to strict non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) regarding company operations and data.

6. Compliance & Legal Obligations

  • Stodfin adheres to Uganda’s financial regulations and global AML standards.
  • Regulatory reporting must be conducted quarterly to relevant authorities.
  • Non-compliance with legal and financial policies results in disciplinary action or legal penalties.

This policy is subject to updates based on regulatory changes and company needs. All employees, agents, and partners must comply with the above provisions.
